Do You Remember

Do you remember the trolley buses that ran around Brighton in the 50s and 60s. powerful buses that were quiet and pollution free with a network of overhead wires to pick up their power. With a central terminus at the Old Steine their routes radiated out to Hollingbury, Western Rd, and up Elm Grove. I remember them all lined up in the Brighton Corporation depot in Lewes Rd and in the winter when the overhead wires were covered in frost watch the sparks coming off the pickup arms.
